The XL-Connect consortium convened for its General Assembly meeting in Florence, Italy, on 25–26 November. Hosted by project partners ABB and the University of Florence, the two-day event offered a valuable opportunity for partners to connect, exchange insights, and review progress across the project’s work streams.
The first day featured a visit to the ABB factory in San Giovanni, where participants were welcomed with an exclusive tour of the company’s newly built facilities. The visit provided a close look at ABB’s latest manufacturing capabilities and cutting-edge technologies relevant to the project’s activities.
On the second day, the consortium visited the University of Florence’s laboratory, located just outside the city. Partners explored the lab’s research environment and received a guided tour of its facilities, gaining deeper insight into the university’s contributions to XL-Connect.
The meeting strengthened collaboration within the consortium and set the stage for the next phase of project developments.
