On 21 April, the Horizon Europe projects SYNCHROMODE and ACUMEN organised their Joint Final Event in Brussels, bringing together researchers, practitioners, policymakers, and industry experts to discuss the future of multimodal, data-driven, and resilient traffic and transport management in Europe.
The two-day event focused on bridging research outcomes with real-world deployment and policy development, showcasing how advanced traffic and transport management solutions can support sustainable, efficient, and coordinated mobility systems across different transport modes and governance levels.
During the breakout session “Optimization of Distributed Energy Resources and Electric Vehicles in Microgrid Environments,” XL-Connect was presented by Pol Torres (EURECAT), with a special focus on the optimisation model developed by EURECAT.
The presentation contributed to discussions on the integration of electric vehicles and distributed energy resources within smart microgrid environments, attracting interest from participants across the European transport and energy research community.
